In accordance with the Blueprint 2.0, the Curriculum and Instruction team seeks to close the achievement gap for students who are receiving special education and related services. Through collaboration with content area offices, student support services, related service providers, school-based staff, parents, and students, Curriculum and Instruction staff provides professional development and direct support in order to increase students’ accessibility to and progress within the general education curriculum via a multi-tiered system of supports and interventions and provision of a continuum of services. We strive to improve the abilities of general educators, special educators and paraeducators to make data-driven decisions, differentiate instruction, execute research- and evidence- based instructional strategies, and implement universal design for learning in order to meet the needs of all students in the least restrictive environment.
