Providing Notification of Home Schooling
For the 2024-2025 school year, notification forms are accepted for students:
-
born on or before September 1, 2019
-
who are under the age of 18
-
living in Baltimore County (to verify your address, please check Boundary Finder)
Understanding the Regulations
Prior to submitting a homeschooling notification form, parents/guardians should inform themselves of Maryland's homeschooling regulations by viewing the Video Series: The Home Instruction Process in Maryland, located on the Home Schooling main webpage and by reading: COMAR 13A.10.01.01.-.05.pdf & MSDEFAQ22.pdf
Choose 1 of the following options to submit the notification form:
1. Complete the form by clicking this link: 2024-2025 Home Schooling Notification Form
or
2. If the student currently attends BCPS, the parent/guardian may submit the notification form through Focus which can be accessed through the BCPS website or Schoology. Once in Focus, click on the section, Forms, and select Homeschooling Notification Form. or
3. Print, complete, and submit this paper form, Accessible Notification Form with COMAR June 2020.pdf, by e-mail or USPS.
