June 4, 2024 Community Update: Changes to the Student Athlete Registration Process
Dear Parents, Caregivers, and Students,
BCPS is pleased to announce an important update regarding our BCPS student athlete registration process. After careful consideration and evaluation, we have decided to transition from the Form ReLeaf paperless registration platform to the BCPS Focus platform.
This transition aligns with our commitment to enhancing efficiency, streamlining processes, and providing a more seamless experience for our students and families. BCPS Focus offers a comprehensive platform that integrates various aspects of student management, ensuring a smoother registration process and improved communication channels.

- Streamlined Registration: BCPS Focus provides a user-friendly interface for registering students, making the process more intuitive and efficient for parents, guardians, and staff members.
- Enhanced Communication: With BCPS Focus, communication between the school and families will be centralized, facilitating quicker responses to inquiries and providing timely updates regarding registration status.
- Comprehensive Platform: Beyond registration, BCPS Focus offers a range of features for managing student information, attendance, grades, and more, creating a cohesive system that supports both administrative staff and families.
Action Required:
In preparation for this transition, we ask all parents, guardians, and students to familiarize themselves with Focus. If you have not signed up for a Focus account for your student(s), please do so now. All athletic registrations for high school and middle school student athletes must be done through Focus. Detailed instructions and support resources are attached and will be provided to assist you in creating an account. We will send additional information around mid-June to assist you with the athlete registration process.
Timeline:
The transition from Form ReLeaf to BCPS Focus will take effect starting June 14, 2024. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this transition period. The Office of Athletics will send out instructions on how to register student athletes and will be available to address any questions or concerns you may have along the way.
