Online Graduate Courses

Classes are online eight weeks in length. There are two sessions each semester; a few courses are the full semester because of the nature of the course content. These NDMU graduate courses are for MSDE certification and certification renewal. BCPS employees whose job titles are covered by one of the five bargaining units and the Superintendent's Executive staff may be eligible for reimbursement. Here is the spring schedule of NDMU graduate courses.

• Last day to add/drop Spring courses is January 29, 2024
• Last day to add/drop Spring Term A courses is January 25, 2024
• Last day to add/drop Spring Term B courses is March 21, 2024

  BCPS Discount. All courses for BCPS employees through NDMU’s Professional Development Institute (PDI) are listed on the BCPS website, please sign up for only the courses listed on the BCPS PDI website. BCPS educators pay $300.00 per credit.
Reimbursement. $ 300.00 per credit for up to 9.0 credits a year is provided by BCPS when an eligible educator submits a grade slip to the Division of Human Resources. Educators must achieve a grade of C or better for reimbursement by the school system. All NDMU policies for Baltimore County Public Schools Cohorts with reduced tuition are in effect. Employees whose job titles are covered under one of the five bargaining units and the Superintendent's Executive Staff may be eligible for reimbursement.
Graduate Credit. NDMU PDI classes are offered as professional development opportunities for Prek-12 teachers and administrators, for graduate credit, and for MSDE certification or certification renewal. PDI courses do not automatically count toward a student's degree program or toward financial aid eligibility. If a student is interested in applying credit toward an NDMU Master's degree or Certificate program, NDMU will accept up to 12 credits total in transfer, but the student must initiate a transfer request through the Registrar.
Matriculation. Students who take more than 12.0 graduate credits at NDMU must matriculate to take additional graduate courses. That means that you must enroll in a program of study. Continuing ed students must still submit a graduate application and unofficial transcript but once done, they will in the system for future classes.
