Continuing professional development (CPD) courses are offered by Baltimore County Public Schools’ (BCPS) Offices in three sessions: fall, spring, and summer. Registration for fall courses opens when teachers return to duty in August, registration for spring courses opens in December, and registration for summer courses opens in May. Please monitor the BCPS News Hub for specific registration opening dates and course information. BCPS employees may view and register for workshops and MSDE/CPD courses by accessing the Professional Development Opportunities Web page.
Current and retired BCPS employees may take courses offered by BCPS Offices free of charge (with the exception of courses that have a fee for materials).
BCPS employees may also take CPD courses free of charge through the BCPS partnership with Notre Dame. This is a new partnership and information about upcoming schedules in forthcoming.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Courses are designed to engage educators in professional learning to advance their knowledge and skill set. CPD credits are earned and applied to an employee’s professional certification requirements. Employees are not eligible for BCPS monetary compensation for CPD courses.
